The night parade
The first Sunday of September lights up in a different way. The allegorical floats parade through the streets in the evening, turning a late-summer night into a unique and captivating experience.
The running race
The race divides Cecina into seven districts and brings the whole town together, with everyone proudly wearing their district’s emblem and cheering on their runners. Each of them dreams of winning the famous bronze plaque and having their name engraved on it.
The twinning with Sagunto
Targa Cecina shares a special bond with the Spanish town of Sagunto. This connection is celebrated with an evening dedicated to the Fallas tradition. The highlight is Spanish paella, expertly prepared by the delegation from Sagunto with the help of the Targaioli, before being served and enjoyed by the whole community.
